Trivia Question from Wayne & Arlene Truex: What two sailboats were the only ones not to capsize in the infamous windblown
Memorial Day race??
Would those of you who know, please tell us:
About how many Y-flyers did the club have at the peak?
About how many sailboards were in the fleet at the peak?
Were captain/crew typically parents & their kids?
Other than Y-Flyers, Hobies and Lasers, were there any other popular sailboats in the fleet?
About what year was the peak in terms of numbers of boats/boards in a typical race, and about how many vessels would that have been on a typical race day?
Today, races are every other week. How often were races held in earlier years?
Today, races are confined to the main body of the lake. Was it always that way?
